Living the dream

Dear friends,
For those of you unsure of the path I am on, let me enlighten you with this video. This year, Florida hosts the international baton twirling championships. David and I have been working toward that World goal.

It is not about the goal, but the path to that goal, that illustrates your life.

Are you unsure of baton twirling? Well, it involves acrobatics, gymnastics, and baton handling, similar to Olympic rhythmic gymnastics. (Why it’s not an Olympic sports of its own surprises me!)
Now, for those who tend to question another’s dream, look at your own interests and hobbies. Why do you obsess over photography or writing or painting? Why do you play on neighborhood baseball leagues? What do you get out of that?
What if I tell you that what I get out of this is the act of living the dream? It is not about the goal, but the path to that goal, that illustrates your life.

One day, I will sit in a rocking chair talking to the area children about the life I lived, about LUMA and the Hopi and the Bigfoots we met. I will tell about living my own Heaven in thanks, always, to the Creator.

Don’t judge, my friends. Instead, live your dream. Be the You that screams from your heart.

Much love,

The Dragonfly’s Student

  1. There are many who continue to go throughout their lives looking only at their goals, money, physical well-being, etc. This is not bad, but when we fail to encompass our spiritual side, we are not living fully. The path we take, be a housewife or a CEO, is as important as the goal we are trying to reach. Take a moment to enjoy that which is your life, the path you are on.

  2. I am who I am becoming because of those who came before. Thank you always, Mami, for being one of my first teachers as I began my journey in this life. I love you.❤

  3. I prefer the main emphasis is the baton twirling and the marching rather than the acrobatic gymnastic added in. I want to see the baton twirl and whirl and rise and fall as the Star of the Show.
